Kanwariyas violence against Delhi Business man

New Delhi, August 7, 2013:Kanwariyas created chaos at two places in the city on Monday. A group of around 20 pilgrims assaulted a GK businessman and vandalized his car in SaritaVihar after he refused to give way to their truck.

Police said Rajnish Kumar, the GK businessman, was going to visit his sister who stays in the area. However, when he reached the traffic signal at Madanpur Khadar, the pilgrims allegedly asked him to move aside and let them go first. When Kumar tried to move ahead, the accused overtook his Swift and forced him to stop. Witnesses said Kumar was pulled out of the car and thrashed. When he resisted, the accused damaged the windshield and windowpanes of the car and fled. Police have registered a case against unidentified men.

In another case, a Kanwariya fired at another pilgrim in Safdarjung Enclave following a tiff. Both parties were on bike and nobody was injured as the bullet brushed past the man's shoulder. However, traffic was disrupted due to their unruly behaviour.
