Pathanamthitta, August 6, 2013: A portion of the basement of the compound wall of the Sree Parthasarathy temple, on the banks of the Pampa at Aranmula, caved in following heavy rain on Monday.

K. Sivadasan Nair, MLA, visited the spot and apprised Devaswom Minister V.S. Sivakumar and Travancore Devaswom Board president M.P. Govindan Nair of the situation.

Mr. Sivakumar and the TDB chief directed the works department of the board to take steps to get the wall repaired, Mr. Nair said.

TDB Administrative Officer P. Rama Varma told mediapersons that the work would start soon.
