Minister for Devaswoms V.S. Sivakumar said in a release that nine platforms had been arranged at Thiruvallam for people to perform bali rituals. More than 3,000 people could offer bali at the temple at one time. Sixty priests would assist people to perform the rituals. Shower-baths had been arranged near the bali kadavu for devotees to take the ritualistic bath after the Balitharpanam. A tank with capacity to store 35,000 litres of water had been arranged, he said.

Mr. Sivakumar said six parking places had been readied for devotees to park their vehicles.
