Nine devotees killed in Road accidents in Bihar
Chapra, August 6, 2013: A car carrying five kanwarias on a return journey from pilgrimage to Lord Shiva temple in Deoghar collided with a speeding truck near Dichhwe village in Jamui in the wee hours.
All five occupants of the vehicle died on the spot. Four of the victims have been identified as Manish Kumar (26), Ashok Kumar (27), Vishal Kumar (28) and Manoj Kumar (26). The victims hailed from Nalanda and Patna districts.
In a related incident in Saran district, four kanwarias were killed after a jeep in which they travelling lost control and overturned near Chhapia village on Taraiya-Mashrakh road this morning, Marhaura Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Kundan Kumar said.
While two Kanwarias died on the spot, two others succumbed to injuries at Mashrakh Primary Health Centre (PHC), he said, adding that the bodies have been sent for
post-mortem.
The victims hailed from Rajapatti village under Mashrakh police station area, Kumar said.
