Kottayam, August 6, 2013: All major temples in the district have made extensive arrangements for the ‘bali tharpanam’ ceremony, which will be held on Tuesday morning.

The ceremony, being held for the ‘moksha’ of departed souls, will begin between 4:30 and 6:30 am. Ponds and other water bodies near the temples have been cleaned and readied for the ‘ghats’. Arrangements for the ‘bali tharpanam’ have been made by the respective temple authorities.

Arrangements have been made at Sreedharma Sastha Temple, Erumeli; Thiruvambadi Temple, Mukkoottuthara; Mahadevar Temple, Nagambadom; Vyasa theertham at Sree Dharma Sastha Temple, Vedagiri; Sreemahadevar Temple, Kadappattoor; Sreekumaramangalam Temple, Kumarakom, and Sree Rama-lakshman Temple, Vennimala.

Karkidaka Vavu Bali will be offered at Sree Dharma Sastha Temple, Koduvamkulam; SNDP Branch, Ezhacherry; Sreenaryana Guru Temple, Pizhaku; Sree Sarada Temple, Kallara; and Sree Bhagavathy Temple, among others.
