Yadgur, August 5, 2013: Burglars broke into the Maheswari temple in Balichakra of Yadgir and escaped with silver and gold ornaments worth over Rs. 2 lakh in the wee hours of Sunday.

The incident came to light when the priest went to the temple on Sunday morning to offer puja. Superintendent of Police Vamsi Krishna said materials worth over Rs. 2.05 lakh, including three-and-half kg silver utensils and 25 g gold ornaments were stolen.
