Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple Management: Amicus Curiae Reports Ambiguous
Thiruvananthapuram, August 4, 2013: The Sree Padmanabhaswamy temple management has termed “misleading” certain news items quoting the report of Supreme Court-appointed amicus curiae Gopal Subramaniam.
Addressing a press conference here on Saturday, executive officer of the temple S.R. Bhuvanendran said “certain media and dailies are quoting the amicus curiae report. But all these are false information. These are not corresponding with the original report submitted in the Honourable Court, as known to us. Further, the temple authorities have not received any intimation from the authorities concerned that the amicus curiae has submitted such a report in the court.”
There was some “motive” behind such reports, he said, adding that the management construed it as an attempt to create negative impression on the temple administration and thereby create evidence against the temple to submit in the court. He said that as the matter was sub-judice, further comments on the subject were reserved.
He added that after consulting the lawyer, the management would take a decision on whether to take legal action against those spreading such reports.
