Mysore, August 1, 2013: Ganabharathi has organised a music programme in the city on Saturday in which compositions of Veene Seshanna will be presented by the Neelambari group of artistes.

A release said the concert will feature artistes Geetha Murthy, Usha Kesari, Rama Ramaish and Bhargavi. They will be accompanied by H.M. Smitha on violin, M.R. Hanumantharaju on mridangam and M.R. Chandrashekar on ghatam.

The concert, being organised in memory of Swaramurthy V.N. Rao, will be held at Veene Seshanna Bhavana, Adichunchanagiri Road, Kuvempunagar, from 6 p.m., the release said.

“Neelambari is a unique music performing group whose members are disciples of Kalarathna Neela Ramagopal, and are artistes of AIR and Doordarshan. Inspired by their common interest, they began innovative and experimental performances on a variety of music-related aspects, that culminated into the formation of the group,” T.P. Krishnakantha of Ganabharathi said in the release.
