2 Detained on Charges of Temple Burglary

 

Thiruvananthapuram, July 30, 2013: The Karamana police, on Monday, arrested two persons on the charge of looting temples in different parts of the city. The two were identified as Aslam, 22, and Haaj, 19, residents of Beemapally.

The police tracked them down as part of an investigation initiated after the burglary at Sri Durga Bhagavathy Temple at Karamana on July 18. The fingerprints found on the donation box there were Aslam’s. They allegedly burgled the Neeramankara Siva temple too a month ago. Aslam was accused of stealing an autorickshaw and of breaking into a house at Vizhinjam.
