Pudukottai, July 27, 2013: A group of women staged a demonstration at Viralimalai near here on Friday protesting against what they called non-acceptance of silver ‘kavacham’ by the temple authorities offered by them for the presiding deity of Sri Meikannudaiyal temple in the town. They came in a procession taking the ‘kavacham’ and sought clarification for the prolonged delay in accepting the donation. They, however, disbursed after police officials came to the spot and assured them of necessary action.
