Grand arrangements for annual Salakatla Brahmotsavams from October 5th
Tirumala, July 25, 2013: Elaborate arrangements are being made for the grand conduct of the nine-day annual Salakatla Brahmotsavams scheduled to commence with Dwajarohanam on October 5.
Briefing the media persons after a high-level review meeting with the heads of various departments at Annamaiah Bhavan on Wednesday, the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Joint Executive Officer K.S. Srinivasa Raju said that the common devotees are the top priority. Devotees desirous of offering Harathi should invariably turn up in traditional dress during the two-time procession of the deities and no immunity will be granted even to the departmental staff. The renovation works to the temple tank- Pushkarini (where the momentous ‘Chakrasnanam’ is scheduled on the concluding day) will be taken up from August 16 and completed by September 14.
