Anniversary celebrations of Rugby’s Hindu Temple

Rugby, July 24, 2013: DIGNITARIES lent a hand in celebrating the anniversary of Rugby's Hindu Temple.

The Consul General of India and the Mayor of Rugby were on hand to help the Shree Kalyan Mandal temple commemorate 38 years of worship.

Vyragyam Siddi Ramalingam and Coun Tony Gillias joined in the festivities at the temple, which stands in two connected terraced houses on Kimberley Road.

The temple's president Amba Ram Mistry said: “It’s a happy day for us, and it gives us an opportunity to look back and remember how just four Hindu families got together and donated money to buy the place and provided a place for worship for Hindus in Rugby.

“The temple is totally run and managed by volunteers. So I would like to thank everyone for their support and contribution.”
