Alappuzha, July 22, 2013: Miscreants smashed the glass covering of the shrine (kurishadi) in front of the St.John’s HSS Pathichira near Mavelikara in the district around 2 a.m. on Sunday. Broken bottles and bloodstains were seen on the spot. The police is learnt to have taken into custody two youths from Kayamkulam in connection with the incident. Kayamkulam MLA C. Sadasivan visited the spot.
