Police Bind Over Sathya Sai Trust Member, Cousin of Satya Sai Baba
Anantapur, July 20, 2013: In a bid to ensure peace in Puttaparthy town, the local police have been asked to bind over Sathya Sai Central Trust member R.J. Ratnakar and Sathya Sai Baba’s cousin Ganapathy Raju in the ongoing feud in the family of the godman. Speaking to The Hindu , Anantapur Superintendent of Police S. Syam Sundar on Friday said he had given this directive, also to ensure smooth conduct of panchayat elections as Ratnakar supporters staged a dharna in front of the Puttaparthy police station. The police already traced a controversial e-mail — which Mr. Raju alleges has been sent by Mr. Ratnakar to defame him — to an Internet cafe at Puttaparthy. A probe was on to find the sender, the SP said.
