Money Collected for U’khand Relief Stolen from Temple
New Delhi, DT. July 19, 2013: Around Rs.1.5 lakh collected for the Uttarakhand flood victims and other valuables kept in a temple in East Delhi’s Jyoti Nagar were found stolen on Thursday morning.
According to the police, the priest had locked the temple around 10 p.m. When he opened the temple in the morning, he found the temple’s back door lock broken. Upon checking, it was found that cash kept in the temple’s cash box and other valuables such as an LCD television and bells were missing. The matter was reported to the police and a case was registered.
