TTD in Damage Control Mode, Issues Warnings & Conducts Surprise Checks at Shopping Complexes to Curb Proselytisation
Tirumala, July 18, 2013: The Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), whose image suffered a severe blot with the recent resurfacing of the proselytisation atop the temple town a couple of days ago, it seems has jumped into a damage control mode.
It is in this connection that the TTDs Vigilance and Security personnel on Wednesday carried out surprise checks at its massive shopping complex.
All the shops and the shop owners were checked and their staff thoroughly questioned.
The sleuths, on suspicion, also checked the mobile phones of some individuals for certain images, but did not come across anything noteworthy.
Shop owners cautioned
They also warned the shop owners to verify the credentials of the individuals before hiring them.
