VARANASI, July 17, 2013: As many as 110 prominent streets and bylanes of the city have been identified for repair works before the arrival of Kanwariyas on the occasion of Shrawan month beginning from July 23.

Varanasi Municipal Corporation (VMC) will also hold camps at six entry points includingAzamgarh road, GT Road, Rajghat and others.

Arrangements of chairs, beds and drinking water will be made in these camps.

At the same time, district health department will provide first aid and ambulance services in these camps.

According to chief medical officer, MP Chaurasia, as many as eight ambulances will be made functional during Shrawan month.

Six of these will operate from the Varanasi Municipal Corporation camps, while two of these will be standing at Godowlia and Chowk areas.

The health services in all eight blocks will also be made up to date keeping in view the inflow of devotees, he said.
