Visakhapatnam, July 16, 2013: On the fifth day of the annual Rath Yatra, Lord Jagannath blessed the multitude of devotees in the form of Vamana on Monday.

Lord Jagannath, who along with Lord Balabhadra and their sister Subhadra, is on His annual sojourn at His aunt’s place, mingled with the devotees seeking darshan at the Turner’s Choultry. As part of His 10-day sojourn from the temple, Lord Jagannath gives darshan in all the forms of Dasavataram.

New clothes were presented to the processional idols on behalf of goddess Sri Kanakamahalakshmi by Government Whip and local MLA Dronamraju Srinivas, temple devasthanam chairman Padala Srinivas Reddy, Deputy Commissioner of Endowments and temple EO D. Brahmarambha. Annadanam was organised for visiting devotees by Satyanarayana of Sairam Parlour.

A Kuchipudi performance was presented by students of Mayuri Nrutya Niketan in the evening. Visakhapatnam West MLA Malla Vijay Prasad and other prominent people also had a darshan of the Lord. Dhanvantri Homeo Clinic organised free homeopathy consultation camp on the occasion.
