Vijayawada, July 16, 2013: Penuganchiprolu Sri Tirupatamma Devasthanam has chalked out plans to conduct Sakambari festival for presiding deity this year. The festival will be organised on July 21.

Addressing a press conference here on Monday, temple Executive Officer N. Vijay Kumar said that the Sakambari festival was being conduct for the first time at the temple. The devasthanam would deck up with fruit and vegetables. The devotees could donate fruits and vegetables, including leafy vegetables, he said.

Mr. Vijay Kumar said that the temple received a net income of Rs. 7 crore during 2012-13. The main resources of income were through hair, hunidal collection and tickets.
