Tirumala, July 16, 2013: The ‘hundi’ at the famous hill temple of Lord Venkateswara netted over 123 kilograms of gold in the month of June by way of offerings made by devotees. Even though the average receipt of gold (deposited in the hundi) is put over three kilograms on an average every day, the gold received during last month assumes significance as it comes in the backdrop of a rather reasonable turnout in the pilgrim crowd.
