Thiruvananthapuram, July 16, 2013: Scouts and Guides from the State have collected Rs.30 lakh towards relief for flood victims of Uttarakhand. Education Minister P.K. Abdu Rabb handed over the cheque to Chief Minister Oommen Chandy here on Monday.

Cadets from 3,000 school units had collected the money from the public and students. Director of Public Instruction A. Shajahan; Secretary (Education) K. Ilangovan; State Scouts Commissioner C. Vinod; State Guides commissioner Kunjannamma; secretary Zakir Hussain; and treasurer K.G. Babu were also present.
