Sri Lanka, July 14, 2013: The 'Kap planting ceremony' at the Shri Vishnu Maha Devalaya Devinuwara took place at 2.11 p.m. on Tuesday. Basnayaka Nilame Dishan W Gunasekera was present. A large gathering of officials and devotees participated. The six Peli Peraheras (preliminary processions) will be held from July 16-21 and the 756th Randoli Perahera will parade the streets on Monday July 22 at 4.59 pm. There will be 45 traditional dance troupes including five upcountry dance troupes and over 30 elephants will parade the streets on this day.
