BJP Seeks Scholarships for Economically Weak Hindu Students
Coimbatore, July 14, 2013: The youth wing of Bharatiya Janata Party has called for providing scholarships to economically weak Hindu students.
In a statement issued here, A.P. Muruganandam, All India Executive Committee member, said that the system of extending scholarships on the basis of religion should be replaced with a system based solely on economic grounds.
He also added that the party was not objecting to the government providing scholarship to others but was only asking for the same to Hindu students also.
