Puri Priest’s Left Leg Amputated, Condition Stable Now
Puri, July 12, 2013: The condition of Puri servitor Bhramarbar Bhoi, whose left leg was amputated from knee at Puri hospital on Wednesday evening, is stated to be stable at SCB medical college and hospital here on Thursday. Bhramarbar suffered the injuries when his leg came under the wheels of Lord Jagannath’s chariot Nandigosh in Puri on Wednesday evening.
Sources said he was immediately rushed to Puri district headquarters hospital where the doctors were forced to amputate his leg fearing gangrene as the bones were crushed.
Meanwhile, the Lord Jagannath temple administration has announced that the administration would bear the entire cost of treatment .
