Bajrang Dal, VHP Castigate Cattle Trafficking, Hold Congress Responsible
Mangalore, Jul 10, 2013: The Bajrang Dal and the VHP on Wednesday July 10 condemned the incidents of cattle trafficking in the region over the past few days and held the Congress government responsible for the rise in such incidents.
Jitendra Kottari, district president, Dharma Prachara Samithi, said, “After the Congress government came to power in the state, undivided Dakshina Kannada has witnessed illegal cattle trafficking and other nefarious activities like stealing of idols from temples and Basadis, which have hurt the sentiments of Hindus. VHP and Bajrang Dal severely condemn this.”
“Cattle trafficking is increasing at an alarming rate. Today, about 20 cows have been rescued near Ullal. After the formation of this government, there have been various attacks on Hindu sentiments," he added.
"The government should take bold steps to stop cattle trafficking immediately. If the government fails to take action against this, the VHP and Bajrang Dal will hold intense protests,” he warned.
Jagadish Shenava, working president, VHP, Sharan Pumpwell, division convener, Bajrang Dal, Gopal Kuthar, secretary, VHP, Bhujanga Kulal, district convener, Bajrang Dal, and Pradeep Pumpwell, district Gouraksha Pramukh, Bajrang Dal, were present on the occasion.
