5 Women Chain Snatchers, Active at Kasha Temple, Caught
VARANASI, July 9, 2013: Five women chain snatchers, active at Kashi Vishwanath Temple, were arrested on Monday. A devotee Sunita Yadav, who was standing in queue to enter Kashi Vishwanath temple, raised an alarm on noticing that a woman was snatching her gold chain. The arrested chain snatchers were identified as Poonam, Rina, Sushila, Ranjana and Sarita, all from Ghazipur district. The women confessed that they also operated at railway stations, bus stands and fairs in neighbouring districts.
