BJP Impugns Bodh Gaya Terror Attacks
July 7, 2013: In Bodh Gaya outside of Bodh Gaya Mandir, nine serial blasts took place one after another. According to report five people are injured in these blasts, as the intensity was not too high. CRPF personnel reached the site at that moment and injured were admitted in the emergency ward of Bodh Gaya medical college. Doctors said, “treatment is going on with the utmost priority and everyone is out of danger.”
But opposition both at the center and now at state level after split between JD(U) and BJP, condemns this unfortunate events harshly.
Senior BJP leader Ravi Shankar Prasad has condemned today’s multiple blasts in Mahabodhi temple, a world heritage site. He said, “Mahabodhi temple had been on the hit list of the terrorists. How can state government ignore this?” Addressing reporters in New Delhi, Prasad underlined the importance of Mahabodhi temple. He has dubbed the incident as an “act of terror” and has demanded probe into the matter. At least two police personnel have been injured in the incident. They are admitted in a nearby hospital and as per doctors both of them are out of danger.
BJP vice-president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi today called the Mahabodhi serial blast a matter of grave national concern. He criticized the government for maintaining a casual approach over the matter despite being forewarned by the intelligentsia about the impending attack. Naqvi demanded the government to take stern action against the attackers and assured support of his party in eliminating such terrorist acts. He said the government should focus more on strengthening the internal security rather than messing up with Opposition.
BJP president Rajnath Singh said, “Govt. is not serious to meet out the challenges to internal security. There was lack of comprehensive action plan.
BJP spokesperson and an eminent lawyer Menakshi Lekhi has directly targeted Congress. She said, “Cong has created atmospheres to crate angels out of LET operatives. Due to this police administration is not taking IB inputs seriously.”
Shahnawaz Hussain mockingly says that CM was overloaded. He later added that, “if IB has given a input on that, then Bihar govt. should have taken that seriously.”
Former Bihar deputy chief minister and BJP leader Sushil Kumar Modi has also made state and central government responsible. He said, “Security agencies must investigate this, but no one can run away from accountability. Even after IB warnings if four blasts take place inside temple premises, then state govt. is responsible.”
