Freedom Fighters Donate for the Relief and Rehabilitation in U’khand
KANPUR, July 6, 2013: Freedom fighters of the city have come together to support the rehabilitation of the Uttarakhand victims. Members of Akhil Bharatiya Swatantrata Sangram Senani donated Rs 3,460 for Uttarakhand rehabilitation. The freedom fighters also prayed for the people who lost their near and dear ones in this natural calamity.
The members of 'Swatantrata Senani Uttaradhikari Sanghathan' also contributed Rs 4,500 towards the CM's Relief Fund. The members of the organization observed a two-minute silence in the memory of the killed and prayed for the well-being of those missing.
Authorities of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhyay Sanatan Dharma Vidyalaya also contributed Rs 36,000 for social cause. The school gave away Rs 5,000 to students selected in IIT entrance. However, the students donated Rs 4,000 from the amount to Uttarakhand Relief Fund.
Meanwhile, devotees at 'Sant Pathik Udasin Ashram', Machariya, organized a mass prayer for the people killed in Uttarakhand calamity. Hundreds of locals and devotees prayed for the deceased and for those who survived as well. Special prayer was held for the missing people so that they could manage to meet their families soon.
