Bangalore, July 6, 2013: Percussive Arts Centre celebrates its 32nd Annual Percussive Arts Festival and Music at the Bangalore Gayana Samaja, K.R. Road.

Today, there will be a Carnatic vocal concert by Sikkil Gurucharan and on July 7, 6 p.m. there will be Laya Lavanya, a percussion ensemble led by Anoor Ananthakrishna Sharma. Besides, there will be a lecture by B.S. Prashanth on “Special Structures Involving Nadae Bhedams on July 6,

During the valedictory on July 7, 10 a.m. there will be award presentation. The Palghat Mani Iyer Memorial Award goes to vidwan B.K. Chandramouli, Palani Subramanya Pillai Memorial Award to vidwan Dr. N.Ramani, the Bangalore K. Venkataram Memorial Award to N.S.Krishnamurthy, and the H. Puttachar Memorial Award to vidwan B.R. Ravikumar. The CMANA (Carnatic Music Association of North America) Endowment Award will be conferred on vidwan B.S.Prashanth.
