Artists Hold Art Exhibition to Help the U’khand Flood Victims

Dharwad, July 5, 2013: Artists from different parts of the country have come together to extend a helping hand to the flood victims in Uttarakhand by holding an exhibition here.

The exhibition, ‘Art for Humanity’, organised by Kalamandala, began on the premises of Aditya Mayura Resort here on Wednesday. It will continue till Sunday. Over 50 artists have displayed their works here. The money collected will be donated to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund. Some original paintings by reputed artists too are available. Artists such as Ramadas Adyanthaya, V.G. Andani and Ramachandra Karatmal are part of it. Physician M.N. Tavargeri inaugurated the event. G.C. Tallur, former secretary, Public Works Department; and S. H. Patil; president, Lions Club; and artists Arya Acharya, Madhu Desai, and Gayathri Desai were present.
