Kumbakonam, July 4, 2013: Sri Ranganatha Yatheendra Mahadesikan, 46th azhagiyasingar of Sri Ahobila Mutt visited Kumbakonam on Tuesday. He was received with Poornakumbam at Varadharaja Perumal sannidhi. He was taken in a palanquin on “pattana pravesam”. The acharya reached the Ahobila Mutt after being taken in procession through main streets of the town. Caparisoned elephants and horses led the procession.
