15 Devotees Injured in Bus Crash
Kurnool, July 1, 2013: Fifteen persons were injured when an APSRTC bus skidded and fell into a gorge near Sikharam, 7 km from Srisailam temple town on Sunday. A major accident was averted as the bus got precariously balanced after hitting a tree. According to reports, the bus coming from Mangalagiri in Guntur district went out of control due to failure of brakes and fell into a ravine causing serious injuries to three persons and moderate wounds to 12 others. The police and other rescue teams rushed to the place and shifted the injured to a hospital at Sundipenta. A major accident was averted as the bus got precariously balanced after hitting a tree.
