Managudi on August 21st in all temples of Andhra Pradesh
The third phase of Managudi – an ambitious mass spiritual programme being jointly organised by the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanam (TTD) and State endowments department will be conducted on August 21 at all the temples in the State.
At a high level meeting with the heads of various departments on Saturday, TTD’s executive officer L.V. Subramanyam, who reviewed the arrangements, recalled the massive success the programme had achieved during its previous two editions (on August 2 and November 28 last year) wherein it was conducted in over 13,242 temples and 17,536 temples all across the State.
He called upon the authorities to work more dedicatedly and ensure that the festival is carried out in more temples during the third phase with enhanced participation of the public.
He further said that a review meeting would soon be organised with the principal secretary and commissioner of endowments to further chalk out an action plan for the grand success of the programme.
Meanwhile, in-charge secretary of the TTD’s Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad (HDPP) B. Raghunath briefed the meeting about the list of tentative activities which include release of posters, training archakas and district HDPP members on Managudi on July 13, ‘Alaya Sobha’ – giving a new look to the temples located in Harijanawadas on August 7, distribution of pamphlets and spiritual discourses on Managudi on August 11 on the auspicious occasion of Garuda panchami and Laksha Kumkumarchana in all temples in the State on August 12, Gopuja on August 14, mass Varalakshmi vratam across the State on August 16 followed by mass Satyanarayana vratam the following day.
The meeting was attended by the two Joint Executive Officers K.S. Srinivasa Raju, P. Venkatrami Reddy, CVSO G.V.G. Ashok Kumar, FACAO Balaji, and several other officials.
