Cognition and Spreading the Essence of the Vedas, the Need of the Hour
Tirumala, June 29, 2013: Renowned Vedic scholar and eminent Ayurvedic exponent Pratap Dakshinamurthy Deekshitulu opined that the students of Vedic fraternity should take the responsibility of disseminating the vast knowledge embedded in the Vedas, among the masses for the universal good and well-being of the mankind.
Addressing a gathering of students at SV Vedapatasala in Dharmagiri on Friday Dr. Pratap Deekshitulu said that the Vedas not only have a universal outlook but also have all that is noble and revered in them.
he said that the Vedas have not only preached the idyllic principle of samatwa (equality) but also have evidently proclaimed the concept of oneness besides emphasizing the need to be a true human.
Earlier in his address the TTDs Executive Officer LV Subramanyam appealed to the young scholars to lead a life of ethics.Later as a token of honour the students of the Vedic school recited verses from Rig, Yajurva, Krishna Yajur, Sukla Yajur ,Sama and Atharvana Vedas besides extracts from the Vaikhanasa and Pancharatra agamas.
Prominent among others who also participated in the function included the Tirupati based TTDs JEO P. Venkatarami Reddy, Principal of Vedapatasala Avadhani and other officials.
