SUCI Amasses Funds for Uttarakhand Flood Victims
Bellary, June 26, 2013: Members of the Socialist Unity Centre of India (SUCI) on Tuesday launched a drive to collect funds from the public and medicines for providing relief to the victims of the disaster in Uttarkhand.
They appealed to the people to donate liberally.
Doctors
K. Somashekar, secretary of the district unit, said that a team of doctors, along with medicines, would soon be deputed to Uttarkhand to take up relief work. S. Pramod, State secretary of the All-India Democratic Students’ Organisation (AIDSO), said that whatever was being collected here would be forwarded to the central pool of the SUCI and from there it would be utilised to provide relief to victims.
M.N. Manjula, district unit president of the All-India Mahila Samskrutika Sanghatane and others participated.
