Burglars Bolt With Silver Ornaments from Temple
Khammam, June 24, 2013: Burglars struck at Govindaraja Swamy temple also known as “Thatha Gudi” in Bhadrachalam in the small hours of Sunday and decamped with silver ornaments worth Rs. 35,000.
According to sources, miscreants broke open the entrance lock and gained entry into the temple near Thatha Gudi centre in the small hours of the day. Burglars fled with silver items including ornaments and puja material.
The temple staff noticed the broken lock and found several silver items missing from the temple in the early hours of the day. Govindaraja Swamy temple is being administered by the authorities of the main temple - Sri Sitaramachandra Swamy shrine in Bhadrachalam. The Bhadrachalam town police registered a case and are investigating.
