‘Jyestabhishekam’ Concludes on A Grandiose Note

Tirumala, June 23, 2013: The three-day annual ‘Jyestabhishekam’ concluded on a grand note at the hill temple of Lord Venkateswara.

In connection with the propitious festival, the temple priests performed ‘Poornahuti’ at the Yagsala inside the main temple complex and conducted ‘Snapna Thirumanjanam’ to the idols of Lord Malayappa and his two divine consorts amidst chanting of verses from the scriptures.

Later the priests ceremoniously provided the deities with the ‘Abhidheyaka kavacham’ (Golden armour) marking the conclusion of the mega festival which was followed by a grand procession around the temple complex in the evening.

Prominent among others who took part in the festival include both the pontiffs of the hill temple, TTDs Chairman K. Bapiraju, Executive Officer L.V. Subramanyam, CVSO G.V.G. Ashok Kumar and other temple officials.
