Karunanidhi Pledges Rs. 25 Lakhs for U’khand Relief Work
Chennai, June 23, 2013: DMK leader M. Karunanidhi on Saturday announced Rs. 25 lakh for relief work in Badrinath and Kedaranath, following an open appeal by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam MPs would also donate one month’s salary for the relief work, DMK leader Mr. Karunanidhi said in a statement.
Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam Parliamentary Party leader T.R. Baalu met Union Home Minister Sushil Kumar Shinde and impressed upon him for immediate action.
DMDK leader Vijayakant also announced Rs. 10 lakh for relief works.
