Modi offered an assistance of Rs two crore from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for relief operations in Uttarakhand.

A large number of people from Gujarat, who have gone to the hill state for Char Dham Yatra, have been stranded with many of them having lost their belongings and are in need of assistance.

Modi said well-equipped disaster management teams from Gujarat can be requisitioned any time for the flood-hit state.

A team of senior officers from Gujarat government will be visiting Uttarakhand to help the people of Gujarat who are stranded in various parts of Uttarakhand and coordinate their return.
