VISAKHAPATNAM: The annual Kalyanostavam of Sri Rama Sahita Satyanarayana Swamy on the Isukakonda (near AMC Girls Hostel) will be celebrated from June 18 to 24, Executive Officer of the temple P.V.A.V.S. Bhanu Raja informed here on Monday.

After the rituals commence on Tuesday with Ankurarpana, the Kalyanostavam would be celebrated on Wednesday evening. Tiruveedhi Ratha Yatra, Vaidika Sadasyam, Deepostavam, Narayana Seva and Pushpayagam would be performed on June 21, 22, 23 and 24 respectively. Government Whip Dronamraju Srinivasa Rao would inaugurate the festival on Tuesday evening.

Mr. Bhanu Raja informed that development works like laying a road from Purna Market side to the hill, construction of mandapam and improvement of steps to the temple at a cost of Rs. 3.5 crore were in progress.

Chairperson of the trust board S. Vimala Devi, and other members, head priest Phaniharam Narasimha Murthy were also present.
