SRS Demands a Reasonable Fare Air Service for the Machail Mata Yatra
For the smooth conduct of Machail Mata yatra, Shri Ram Sena (SRS) Jammu- Kashmir has demanded introduction of air service on reasonable rates.
Shri Ram Sena state president Rajiv Mahajan said that they had last year submitted a memorandum to Divisional Commissioner, Jammu in connection with rationalizing the airfare of Machail Mata yatra (Rs.5250) with respect to other pilgrimages like Shri Mata Vaishno Devi (Rs.1400) and Shri Amarnath Ji yatra (Rs.2960).
Mahajan said that Divisional Commissioner last year had assured for invitation of bids for air service to Machail Mata yatra. He hoped that the tenders for the purpose would have been called.
Mahajan also appealed to the Divisional Commissioner to accord due representation to the religious bodies like Sanatan Dharam Sabha Kisthwar, General Public, Sarv Shakti Sewak Sanstha, as these religious bodies have a comprehensive experience of Machail Mata Yatra for many years, and they can play an important role in the smooth conduct of yatra.
He further demanded that only fit passenger vehicles be allowed for ferrying the pilgrims to Machail to avoid any mishaps on the mountainous track.
