Tirupati , June 14 :

Physical fitness tests were conducted for the candidates who are aspiring to be the security 'guards in the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) under ex-servicemen category in Tirupati on Friday.

As part of this, 5 km running race and chin up, abdominal exercises were conducted to the candidates at Sriyari Mettu in Srinivasa Mangapuram and Police Parade Grounds in Muthyala Reddy Palle areas in the temple town of Tirupati.

Of the 201 candidates who made their presence for the physical fitness tests, 132 passed the tests by proving their calibre and stamina.

There will be written examinations for the selected candidates on June 30.

Meanwhile, these tests were carried out in the presence of the TTD joint executive officer P. Venkatrami Reddy, TTD chief vigilance and security officer G.V.G. Ashok Kumar and the NCC Commandant Col. K.J. Roy.
