DHARMAPURI: The Mariamman temple in Kallathupatti village was missing fifteen sovereigns of gold jewels on Wednesday night.

The incident came to light when the villagers who came to the temple in the morning found the main gate broken open.

They also noticed the two boxes lying outside.

On information, the police rushed to the spot.

The Pappireddipatti police have registered a case and are investigating, as told by the sources.
