Vedic knowledge can prevent disasters
Tirupati , june 13 :
Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) joint executive officer P. Venkatrami Reddy on Thursday said that mankind could overcome the disastrous impact of the scientific and technological advancement through Vedic knowledge, which is capable of developing the much required "alternative science."
He was addressing the awareness programme to the TTD officials, titled "The hidden scientific knowledge in Vedas" at SVETA Bhavan here.
He said that thousands of years ago, the ancestors of Hindu society had brought out extensive research and treatises on mathematics, physics, astronomy and astrology and several critical scientific fields.
The Hindu Dharma is carrying the legacy through the generations, he said.
Later, Brahmasri Kuppa Venkata Krishna Murthy of Hyderabad-based Institute of Scientific Research on Vedas, said that science and scientific knowledge are not to be confused as one entity.
He deplored that technological advancement is going on at a rapid rate at the cost of scientific knowledge.
He displayed a cynical picture of the earth, with all natural resources going dry in the coming hundred years, threatening the very existence of mankind.
He said that only the Vedic knowledge could heal the present day technological disasters.
Senior TTD officials took part in the programme.
