JEO And CVSO Inspects Queue Lines
Tirumala, June 8:
Unprecedented pilgrim influx has been witnessed in Tirumala on Saturday as the summer holidays are coming to an end.
Tirumala JEO Sri KS Srinivasa Raju and CVSO Sri GVG Ashok Kumar inspected the serpentine queue lines and personally monitored the facilities including food, buttermilk, water etc. that are being offered to the multitude of visiting pilgrims.
Later speaking to media persons, the JEO said, in the last three days alone over 80 thousand pilgrims who came on foot had darshan of Lord.
"On Thursday over 33thousand pilgrims, Friday 34,000 pilgrims and today(saturday) by 12 noon itself over 24,000 pilgrims who came to Tirumala on footpath routes were being provided darshan.
In the wake of this unprecedented rush we have cancelled VIP beginning break darshan on Sunday so that we can provide darshan to another 10-15thousand pilgrims during this time slot.
Even Rs.300 darshan has also been stopped by 9am on Saturday. Our top priority is to provide darshan to free and footpath pilgrims", he added.
