Tirumala, June 8:

Former MP from Rajamundry Sri Ch Sri Hari Rao has donated 65kilos of Silver to Lord on Saturday through “Tulabaram” which is equivalent to the weight of his body and handed over the same to Tirumala JEO Sri KS Sreenivasa Raju.

Meanwhile Tulabharam is a type of fulfilment of the wish of a pilgrim devotee wherein he or she offers coins or other items such as silver, sugar candy, rice etc.

which is equivalent to one’s body weight. This is a traditional practice of offering which is being followed in the Srivari temple since several decades.

Later Temple DyEO Sri Chinnamgari Ramana presented Swamy Vari Prasadam to the donor at Sri Ranganayakula Mandapam inside Sri Vari Temple.
