Three-day workshop on Vedic maths
Karimnagar, Andhra Pradesh: The three-day national workshop on “Vedic mathematics” organised jointly by Shiksha Samskrithi Uthan Nyas, New Delhi and Vedika voluntary organisation of teachers in Karimnagar in association with Alphores educational institutions was formally inaugurated on Friday at Alphores e-techno school in Kothapalli on the outskirts of the town.
The workshop, which was attended by over 200 maths teachers from the State, was chaired by eminent Vedic mathematician, Anantha Vyavahare. The workshop will be held till Sunday. Mathematicians Sriman Ravikumar, Aravind, M. Muthyam Reddy, Seetha Rama Rao and others participated in the workshop and informed teachers about the importance of Vedic mathematics and its relevance in the present day sciences.
Speakers recollected the importance of maths since the advent of life from the Vedic period. Following the importance of Vedic maths in day today lifestyle, foreign countries are learning ancient Vedic maths, they said. Vedika president Raja Bhanu, secretary Anuradha and others were also present.
