Interesting sugestions from Dial your EO program of TTD
Tirumala: Many interesting suggestions have come up in the monthly "Dial Your EO" programme that was held at Annamaiah Bhavan in Tirumala on Friday where in the pilgrims directly shared their views and suggestions with TTD Executive Officer, Sri LV Subramanyam. Some excerpts:
A pilgrim caller Narasimha from Nalgonda suggested EO to look into the possibility of extending Tirumala-Tirupati enroute RTC bus services upto Tirupati railway station for the convenience of the multitude of visiting pilgrims as over 90% prefer to travel in trains.
Answering the query the EO said, TTD has already taken up the sub-way works to avoid traffic congestion in Tirupati.
"Once the works are completed we will negotiate with APSRTC authorities and extend the services as suggested by you", he maintained.
Meanwhile another caller Rammohan Rao from Nalgonda suggested to introduce mini kalyanakattas even at Tirupati to avoid long waiting hours in Tirumala.
Replying the query the EO said, it is indeed a radical idea and a decision will be taken after discussing with the officials in this regard.
Another caller Murali from Hyderabad asked whether there is any possibility for him to take part in the Abhishekam seva tickets which were purchased by his parents in advance booking some seven years ago, as both his parents were expired. Reacting to the query TTD EO said, “This is a rare and unique case.
However we will inform you after discussing the possibilities”, he replied.
A pilgrim caller Umesh from Vemulavada, suggested EO to see that the recitation of vedic hymns be rendered in a proper manner for all the arjitha sevas by vedic pundits.
The EO said, the mistakes will be rectified.
Later speaking to media persons the EO said, TTD with an aim to propagate Sri Venkateswara Bhakti cult across the country, has taken up the construction of dhyan mandirs, temples etc. across many cities.
“We have recently inaugurated Srivari temple in Delhi, Bhoomipuja for the temple in Kanyakumari.
Very soon temples are also making their way in Kurukshetra, Chardam, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Dehradun etc”, he added.
