CAG should audit TTD's accounts: Yanamala
Senior TDP leader Yanamala Ramakrishnudu on Tuesday demanded that the Comptroller and Auditor General (CAG) should be given the responsibility of auditing the Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams’ (TTD) accounts. This, he said, would not only bring in more transparency in the auditing system, but also would further ensure that every single penny being donated by the devotees was properly accounted for.
Talking to the media persons, he said that theTirumala Tirupati Devasthanams should also make use of the services of Local Fund Audit instead of completely depending on chartered accountants.
In reply to a question, he said that his party would table no confidence motion against the ruling Congress at an appropriate time after discussing the issue within the party.
Mr. Ramakrishnudu lambasted the TTD management for allowing auditor Vijay Sai Reddy- second accused in the disproportionate assets case against the YSR Congress president Y.S. Jaganmohan Reddy- to stay back in the main temple for long hours against the temple norms.
