NJ  April 15, 2014: It is said in the puranas that Upanyasa Chakravarti, Anantharama Dikshitar was cured of his leprosy by praying to Sri Guruvaayoorappan. His disease was advanced that the watchman did not allow him to take bath in temple tank. 3 or 4 years later, Dikshitar came to pray to Guruvaayoorappan to the amazement of all. The miracle was due to his faithful recitation of Narayaneeyam. Such is the power of Sri Guruvaayoorappan.

Hindu American Temple & Cultural Centre constructed the most impressive temple at Morganville – Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple. Dr Yegnasubramanian is the chairman of the temple community. Dr R G Krishnan, Dr S S Iyer, Dr E Sundaresan, Dr Madhusudana Raju Sayyaparaju , Nandakumar Bajija , V Gundanna are the board persons of the community.

The Temple is located at 13Wooleytown Road Morganville NJ 07751  When travelling by New Jersey Turnpike Take Exit 9 to Route 18 South then one should travel 8 miles on 18 S Route. Then Take exit for 9 Route South, Freehold. You should stay on your extreme right. And take an exit to Texas Road within a tenth of a mile. Make a left turn on to Texas Road East.Go 3 miles on Texas Road East. Turn right on to Wooleytown Road. The most famous Sri Guruvaayoorappan Temple is on your right. The temple timings are 8:30 AM to 11:30 AM in the mornings and 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM in the evenings. On weekends & Holidays the timings are 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM.

The Daily rituals at the temple are : Sri Venkateswara Suprabhatam, Sri Guruvayurappan Nirmaalya Darsanam Pratahkala Puja, Ganapathi Homam & Sudarsana Homam, Sri Guruvayurappan & Shiva Abhishekam, Abhishekam to Deities and Nityapuja to All Deities, Chandi Parayanam, Vishnu Sahasranama Parayanam, Maha Mangala Aarati, Sayankala Puja, Seeveli and Ratri Puja (Attazha Puja)
